| タイトル | On analytic figures and analytic monoids |

| アブストラクト | 多角形、多面体、境界をもつreal analytic manifolds や、 特異点を持つ real (complex) analytic varieties が共に含まれる real (complex) analytic figures と言う概念を導入する。 さらに analytic figures と monoids （１をもつ半群）を合わせた analytic monoids という概念を導入する。 どちらも examples は豊富だが、理論は未熟である。 予想：G を connected Lie group とするとき、 G から G への analytic homomorphisms 全体は analytic monoid であろう ーーーもまだきちんと解けていない。 |

| アブストラクト | A few years ago Geordie Williamson had shaken us in the modular representation theory by exhibiting large primes exceeding the long expected bound for which Lusztig's formula for irreducible characters of reductive algebraic groups fails. Following his 2017 article in Journal of Algebra I will try to explain how he constructs such primes using equivariant cohomology on Demazure-Hansen-Bott-Samelson varieties. |

| アブストラクト | We first survey old results on the subgroup structure of the classical
groups SL(n,K), Sp(2n,K) and SO(n,K), in particular, a reduction theorem
for classifying the maximal subgroups and the methodology developed by
Dynkin and Seitz for completing this classification. We then turn to more
recent offshoots of this work, exploiting the techniques and developing
others, to study restrictions of irreducible representations to certain
maximal subgroups. The more recent results discussed appear in work of Burness, Cavallin, Ford, Ghandour, Marion. |
