Laboratory of Informatics
Biology (Animal Physiology)
We welcome international students who
favor Insect Physiology and Chronobiology!
We have accepted a visiting researcher from Czech
Republic and a student from China within these five
years.
We will accept graduate students
(master’s and doctoral students) and post-docs from
all over the world. If you are interested, please
contact with Goto or Fuchikawa via e-mail: shingoto or
tfuchi (@ osaka-cu.ac.jp).
<For prospective master’s and doctoral
students>
As
for an economical aspect, we mostly recommend that you
win the examination in your home country and be
nominated as a government-sponsored
international
student from the Japanese embassy. If
you are in your home country, Osaka City University
(OCU) may be able to recommend you as a
government-sponsored international student. Also,
there are several scholarship
systems for international students.
Tuition
fee at graduate school of OCU is about 530,000-540,000
yen (approx. 4,800-4,900 US$) per year), but it
is exempted depending on circumstances.
In the case of doctor course, a scholarship
of 500,000 yen (approx. 4,500 US$) per year will be
awarded from the Graduate School of Science.
<For prospective post-docs>
We mostly
recommend to consider to apply JSPS’s
programs. They provide various
fellowship programs for research in Japan for a wide
range of researchers from pre/postdocs to senior
professor. They usually provide you sufficient money
to stay and carry out research in Japan. If the
programs don’t fit your situation, we can explore
another option.
