Laboratory of Physical Organic Chemistry
Graduate School of Science, Osaka City University

In our organic material chemistry laboratory,
we prepared novel organic materials and study their chemical and physical properties in detail. We are interested in a variety of organic compounds that are usable as electronic, magnetic, and optical materials.

Research

1. Radicals

2. Novel pai-conjugated materials

3. Dendrimers

We have developed dendrimers with conjugated backbones. The dendrimers are useful as modular building blocks for the construction of organized nanoscale materials. We have prepared dendrimers possessing specific electronic and optical properties by the incorporation of a variety of functional units into both branched units and conjugated chains. In addition, we developed novel assembling method to construct well-designed assemblies of dendrimers by coupling between terminals of the conjugated chains.

4. Artificail allosteric systems
