Interdisciplinary Education System

The department education system is divided into each field subject, as follows:

• Mineralogy, Petrology and Geochemistry I Course (Atomic and Mineral Level)
• Mineralogy, Petrology and Geochemistry II Course (Rocks and Rock Complex Level)
• Anthropogene (Quaternary Geology) Course
• Engineering Geology Course
• Geology Environmental and Information Course
• Geological History Course

Students can choose one basic of geosciences as listed above, but students also receive a general knowledge of geosciences. All graduate students will gain a knowledge of geosciences methodology with the guidance of not only a professor in one laboratory but also from other professor within the department of geosciences. Therefore, they can proceed with their own research independently and originally.

Number of graduates who wish to master a high level of scholarship in a graduate school are gradually increasing in the recent several years. As graduates from this department meet a variety of social needs, they are working in various fields increasing many kinds of cooperations, universities, research institutes, government and municipal offices.
