"A Comprehensive Introduction to Isothermic Surfaces"
I shall develop the theory of isothermic surfaces in both the classical and modern, gauge-theoretic settings. I will discuss examples; transformations; the relationship with integrable systems; their connections to omega and R-surfaces in Lie sphere and projective geometry; polynomial conserved quantities; discrete isothermic surfaces and isothermic maps to symmetric R-spaces.
