International Symposium in Honor of Professor Nambu for the 10th Anniversary of his Nobel Prize in Physics

December 12-13, 2018

Media Center, Osaka City University, Japan

Useful information (pdf file)

Dear all,

Welcome to the symposium!

Useful information is listed here:

  1. There will be a welcome party at D101 (common room) science building, starting around 17:00 on 11th Tuesday. Every participant is welcome.
  2. The registration begins from 8:00 am on Wednesday, but the Main Entrance of the Media Center is not open until 8:30 am. If you arrive early, please use the West Entrance of the Media Center, which is open from 7:45 am. Once you enter the building, please find the security desk: our staff will be there to guide you to the elevator. Please take one of the three elevators to the tenth floor. Starting from 8:30, the elevators will be shared with students and will be delayed. Please allow enough time for registration on the tenth floor. (We have made a special arrangement of the elevators during 18:00-19:00, so that the two elevators on the left go directly between the first floor and the tenth floor during that time.)
  3. At the registration desk, please find your nametag. Also, please pay the fee for the dinner if you attend the conference dinner. We are also happy to accept contributions for refreshments served during the conference. At the end of the symposium, please return the plastic case for your nametag.
  4. No food or drink is allowed in the auditorium. Please refrain from taking your lunch there.
  5. Wi-Fi is available on the Conference floor. Ask the registration desk for detail.
  6. The conference dinner will be served at "Nonohana House" on the first floor. Some of us will go for lunch at "Metasequoia" in different building. Follow our staff members for direction. (It is only fifty meter to the West. See the map in our website for details.)
  7. There will be a group photo on 9:20 am Wednesday at the auditorium. There will be another group photo around 12:30 Friday (the day of the workshop) in front of the science building with a new plate of NITEP (Nambu Yoichiro Institute of Theoretical and Experimental Physics). Everybody is welcome.
  8. Rooms are available for preparation of your talk and discussion. Please look at the board placed at each room for further instruction.

To the speakers:

  1. You are encouraged to use your own laptop for presentation. A Windows-based PC is available on your request. A pointer is also available.
  2. It will be our great pleasure if a copy of the pdf file of your talk is available for us. If possible, we would like to share the file in our conference website. The contribution is completely voluntary. Please let our staff members know the availability.

Best regards,

The organizers.
